Some news about the shooting of my next film

Since the end of spring, I know that I HAVE TO shoot a new 90' film in September.
Because the man in charge of adult programs  in the French channel CANAL PLUS  told me that he could broadcast my next film in February or March 2009.

Why do I HAVE to shoot this film?
For money?  No. I already wrote it, but porn market is so weak and low, in France, that it's impossible, for a very small company like mine, to make money with an adult film.
The only hope I can have is to get my money back.
Take, for instance, my formal film, "Ludivine" that I shot last year. Why did I do it?
I didn't make money with it, not one euro. I'm not even sure, one year after I shot it, that we didn't lose some money because of it.
But the film had a good publicity, many persons saw it, it was a new evidence that I am still alive and working, and that I'm not the worst porn director in this country.
And some people, who never heard about the name "John B. Root", came to my web, thanks to the film.
So, it was a marketing investment.
And, to be absolutely honest, as the film was broadcasted on a major French Channel, I received personal money as an author copyright. And I need this money to pay my taxes :)
And, last reason (but not least) the film was fun to make. And it was for me the opportunity to play with new technologies such as HD Video, new editing stations, sound mixing and so on.

However, "Ludivine" was too expensive, too ambitious.
It costed 55.000 euros and, because of low DVD sales, low TV rights and massive illegal downloads, this amount of money is more than what the film can pay back.
So, for this new film, I decided to spend less . 30.000 euros as a maximum.
I choosed to work on a "dogma" project, shot in Paris, with no light, like a documentary.
But, during my holydays, I remembered the shootings of my previous parisian films (Sextet, XYZ...)
How exhausting and frustrating they were because of parking problems, rendez-vous problems, light problems (no light in Paris in September), locations problems...

So, I changed my mind.
Now I'm working on a brand new project, shot in a tiny village in Crête (Greek island) with three boys and three girls.
Olive trees, sun, see, montains, cigals singing for a sentimental and sweet comedy.
Girls and boys are Ok with the dates.
I contacted a hotel manager there. He is waiting for us.

So.... I need to fly to Crete this week in order to be sure.
And then...?
Banzaï!

Maybe...?
